The InterContinental Paris Le Grand is located in the heart of Paris, across from the Opera house, mere steps away from the Place Vendôme, where one finds all the great jewelers of Paris and near the Printemps and Galeries Lafayette department stores. The InterContinental Paris was inaugurated in 1862 by the Empress Eugenie and parts of its interior are classified in the National Monument listing. It is an integral part of the history of Paris, built, as it was in a then new area developed by the Baron Haussmann which ended with the construction of the Opera House and the Avenue de l'Opera. Eighty-two of our rooms and suites have magnificent views of the Opera House, which is beautifully illuminated at night and where, during day, if you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of a dance session

The English prospect painter J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851) is considered to be one of the greatest and most case artist of this notwithstanding. However, this man who revolutionised the art of painting, constently turned for stimulus to other painters he carefully selected, both old masters and coetaneous rivals. This expo is the first to set Turner’s works along-side those of « his » painters : Lorrain, Rembrandt, Titien, Poussin, Watteau….in purpose that to have a better brains not only of his in dire straits to each of these but also to see how he differs from them. There are around one hundred paintings and drawn works on show. The Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent and the Petit Palais (See of Paris Museum of Outstanding Arts) are showcasing the first Yves Saint-Laurent retrospective offering since the mode draughtsman passed away. A comprehensive of 307 haute couture and prêt-à-janitor models are on show, ranging from the interior decorator’s beginnings at Dior in 1958, with the venerable “Wileèze” accumulation, to the swank of the evening dresses from 2002.
