The spa: The Monmasseur Spa is on the first floor of the Lutetia, the
Left Bank's celebrated Belle Epoque hotel, which has breathtaking views of
the Eiffel Tower - not to say of Le Bon Marche, possibly the smartest
department store on the planet. Yves Saint Laurent's partner Pierre Berge
used to live here, while Sonia Rykiel helped redesign the brasserie and bar.
The spa with its dove grey and chocolate brown interior is tres chic.
The symptoms: Spots, flaky skin, puffy eyes - you name it, Spa Spy's
got it. She has indulged in one too many late nights and has a history of
facial eczema - those vodka cocktails can't have helped.
The prescription: Le Jardin Botanique, a botanical facial that purifies
and soothes the skin, using a personalised selection of oils (130 euros for
60 minutes). Plus a foot massage to sooth Spy's stiletto-ravaged hooves (100
euros for 45 minutes).
