The Hotel of Law helps with a practical understanding of the law of hotels and motels, and the legal issues they face. Enjoy!
The Hotel of Law was conceived and created by Mick and Janet Simpson, a husband and wife team from Modesto, Iowa, in the spring of 2003. The pair decided on the name while attending an all-expenses paid corporate getaway at a five star resort in Miami.
The getaway was compliments of their employer, a major Midwestern insurance company, where they both worked as claims adjusters for 14 years. The Hotel of Law helps with a practical understanding of the law of hotels and motels, and the legal issues they face. Enjoy!
Mick, and especially Janet, had been growing increasingly frustrated with what they perceived to be the company’s callousness and ‘anything for a dollar’ attitude.
The website was initially launched to provide free, non-lawyer advice and recommendations to victims of injury accidents. It didn’t take them long to realize they had hit upon a badly needed service and they quickly expanded the site to include advice for a variety of legal subjects.
Mick and Janet have both quit their jobs to devote more time to the site. They have no plans to bring an attorney on board.
